My Wait for the Several

death cab for cutie's tour bus, outside the disco rodeo. raleigh, nc

I was thinking about everyone asking Jamie how her wait for the "ONE" is going, and how that bothers her a bit, and I realized that no one has ever asked me that. Instead I have to endure this, "so how many ladies are you juggling this week?", or some variation on that. This is always accompanied by the obligatory elbow nudge and wink. And I pretend to count on my fingers and lose track, all the while feeling like a complete idiot. So, then I quickly make myself scarce. Old people are puzzling to say the least, they feel the need to talk to me, to relate to me so they choose that. Mainly, I think, because they're too tired to think of anything else. So of course I go away thinking of the actual number of girls I'm juggling this week and for some reason wish it were one more. But then again patience something I've never learned.

Picking Up the Pieces and...

Do you ever wish you could cut and paste different parts of your life, keep some, copy some, get rid of others? If I could I would probably ruin my life.

This is Amazing Grace.

From now on I'm going to try and make this more of a photo blog, because that's what I like and it's less writing.

If Heaven Were Six Hours East

Fall break for Appalachian is now over, and it continues it’s stellar tradition for me. Last year it was Atlanta with Mark, Jamie, Stephen, and Pete, this year being the Newlife Beach Retreat. Now this may sound like oh no another youth group esk trip full of one-piece suits, curfews, and poor planning, but it was absolutely lovely. Way too much happened to tell, or to little. So here’s the count.

5 Perfect Days:
Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday

4 People on Tuesday:
Darrel, Britty, Whitney, Matt

3 Wounds on my body:
Right elbow, right side, back

2 stories I want to hear:
Lone woman making an “I miss you/ welcome home” sign on the side of the road in Camp Legeune.

A shrimp boat called “Amazing Grace”

1 thing I wish I’d seen:
Marshall getting a jellyfish stuck in his shorts.

And now at the request of Jamie:

Things I want to do before I die:
1. visit all 50 states
2. go to the Super Bowl
3. live by the sea and own a boat
4. drive a Ferrari
5. beat the system

Things I can do:
1. scream very loudly
2. remember the number of miles in a light year (5,878,499,814,000)
3. travel the Carolinas
4. drive a Camaro
5. wish

Things I can’t do:
1. remember my dorm phone number
2. keep my room even close to clean
3. resist the History Channel
4. stay away from home
5. tell what you’re thinking, well…

Things that attract me to the opposite sex:
1. beauty
2. the guts to not care what others think
3. eyes
4. compassion
5. skirts

Celebrity Crushes:
1. Keira Knightly
2. Natalie Portman (in Garden State, and embarrassingly, Star Wars Episode I)
3. Angelina Jolie’s lips (HAHAHA)
4. Kristin Kruek
5. Katherine Zeta Jones (at moments)

People I want to do this next:
1. Lauren
2. Britty
3. Dan
4. Kyle
5. anyone else who might read this let me know if you want.

Best news:
Haven Helser is here!!!!!!!!

A Perfect End to a Perfect Weekend

I don't think i could ask for or expect a better life than I have, not in this world at least. So, I won't complain about the things I want to complain about. I'll just do my work and serve my time until next weekend reminds me of how wonderful this life is. Thank you to all my amazing friends who make my life so wonderful. I'll see you soon.
